Idaho #3 in Nation for Personal Income Growth!
Brand new numbers show Idaho had the third highest growth in personal income in the nation for 2018-2019!
The U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis issued a report today ranked Idaho Number 3, behind only Colorado and Utah, in yearly growth in personal income. Personal income is defined as:
"The income received by, or on behalf of, all persons from all sources: from participation as laborers in production, from owning a home or business, from the ownership of financial assets, and from government and business in the form of transfers. It includes income from domestic sources as well as the rest of world. It does not include realized or unrealized capital gains or losses."
Idaho's top industries for earnings growth in 2018-2019 were:
Farm: $378 Million
Construction: $363 Million
Wholesale Trade: $188 Million
Finance & Insurance: $151 Million
Retail Trade: $117 Million
Manufacturing of Nondurable goods: $108 Million
Transportation & Warehousing: $105 Million
