Mike Bloomberg Doesn't Get Farming...AT ALL
A video of Democratic Presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg dissing farmers has resurfaced. In it, he told a bunch of people at the Oxford University Business School:
“I could teach anybody – even people in this room, no offense intended – to be a farmer. It's a process. You dig a hole, you put a seed in, you put dirt on top, add water, up comes the corn. You could learn that.”
Bloomberg went on to dig his own hole by saying that farmers and manufacturers lack "gray matter" and "skills."
Can you believe it?
Idahoans know that today's successful farmers require a solid education, business acumen, advanced technology skills and the ability to sort through a lot of government regulation.
Farming has never been, and is not today, just "you dig a hole, you put the seed in" as Democrat Bloomberg ridiculously claims. Idaho's high tech agri-businesses have put Idaho on the map! Last year, Idaho's farms had the highest net farm incomes in our history. Over the past few years, Idaho's yield per acre and milk per cow has also increased. High-tech farm efficiencies and practices are driving food production and progress.
